FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions.
No invented certainty.
What Episyne does, where it helps, and when a simpler option already works.
What is Episyne?
Episyne is a developer tool that keeps project decisions, supporting evidence, and unresolved questions traceable across coding-agent sessions and handoffs.
How can I preserve architecture decisions between coding-agent sessions?
Write decisions in project sources such as ADRs and AGENTS.md. When their history becomes difficult to track, Episyne can help inspect accepted, superseded, and unresolved project context with references.
Does Episyne replace AGENTS.md or ADRs?
No. AGENTS.md provides agent instructions; ADRs record decisions. Episyne is designed to complement those sources by making project state and evidence easier to inspect across sessions.
Is Episyne the same thing as agent memory?
No. Agent memory typically stores and retrieves useful facts. Episyne focuses on the status and support of engineering project decisions, including contradictory or superseded guidance.
Does Episyne automatically know which source is correct?
No. It exposes evidence, uncertainty, and possible conflicts for review; the developer or authorized team remains responsible for accepted decisions.
How do I join the Founding Beta?
